From the Big Apple to Harbour City

After many years of living — sometimes-thriving, sometimes-just-surviving — in New York City, Zig & Cliff are heading “Down Under.” What do Aussies call America — “Up Over”?

Hmmm…maybe it’s best not to ask Aussies what they call America or Americans these days, let’s get this relationship started off politely. Anyway…I’m Canadian!

So, we're packing up the laptops, the bagels and the industrial-sized tubes of sunscreen and see what life brings us in Sydney, Australia!

Fun Aussie Facts:
  • I am told, repeatedly, that "A koala is not a bear, dammit!"
  • Harold Holt, Australia's 17th Prime Minister, went for a swim in 1967 and disappeared into the ocean; his body never found
  • Tasmania is to Sydney what Staten Island is to New Yorkers
  • Brooklyn, New South Wales is located 51 kilometers north of the Sydney
  • Unofficially, Sydney has 256 beaches....I hope to nap on each and every one!
